My kids love dragons. We have a book on all the kinds in folklore. But this is my favorite kind. And in the heat of summer they really keep me company in the garden. Dragonflies rarely sit still in our yard, so this image is truly special. Maybe they are too busy to sit because they are eating gobs of Mosquitoes. Did you know they eat their prey in flight? No wonder they seem to rarely sit still! And many kinds are endangered. So we are really grateful to have them around. We see a lot of iridescent green Dragonflies. But this one is more blue. And check out the eyes. Incredible! Scientists say they use more than 80 percent of their brain, on visual processing.
